Web3 / Blockchain Developer – Smart Contracts & Cross-Chain Protocols | Remote

 Contract Position | 20+ hours per week | Competitive Hourly Rates

What You’ll Do

You will be part of the engineering team developing and optimising smart contracts and cross-chain interoperability layers powering a large-scale multi-chain wallet ecosystem. You’ll work across blockchain networks, bridge protocols and interoperability frameworks to enable seamless cross-chain communication and asset movement.

You will:

  • Design, build, test and deploy smart contracts across EVM-compatible blockchains

  • Develop cross-chain routing and interoperability logic powering multi-chain connectivity

  • Integrate on-chain transactions, RPC communication and Web3 library tooling

  • Conduct security reviews and optimise smart contracts for performance and gas efficiency

  • Monitor and validate cross-chain transactions, events and proofs

  • Collaborate with backend and platform teams to deliver secure and verifiable wallet operations

  • Support documentation, audits, technical reviews and open-source contributions

  • Participate in security programs, bug bounties and protocol optimisation initiatives

What You’ll Have

  • 3–5+ years blockchain or smart contract engineering experience

  • Strong proficiency with Solidity, Rust, Node.js and smart contract development patterns

  • Hands-on experience deploying smart contracts to production environments

  • Familiarity with Web3.js/Ethers.js, Hardhat, Foundry or Truffle toolchains

  • Practical experience working with Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon or similar EVM networks

  • Understanding of blockchain RPCs, event listeners and wallet signing flows
    Good knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD and engineering best practices

Nice to have

  • Experience with cross-chain bridges, interoperability protocols or liquidity routing networks

  • Familiarity with BTC, Tron, Polkadot or ZK-based blockchain ecosystems

  • Experience with oracle / relayer systems and multi-chain token models

  • Prior involvement with external auditing firms or open-source contributions

  • Passion for decentralised architecture and scaling distributed networks
