IT Specialist – Data Migration

Karlsruhe, Hybrid (up to 3 days home office)

€50,000–€65,000 + Bonus

 

Revive Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a long-established, niche-leading technology company specialising in data, document and media migration for major enterprise clients across Germany. What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of data migration, scripting, and customer-facing problem solving. Your core responsibilities include:

Technical Work

  • Adapt an in-house data migration tool to customer requirements

  • Analyse customer environments and system interfaces

  • Plan, implement, test, and deliver data/document migration projects end-to-end

  • Conduct data analysis for error detection and optimisation

  • Maintain SQL databases and scripting-based workflows

  • Provide 2nd-level support and create project documentation

Collaboration & Customer Interaction

  • Deliver customer trainings and product workshops (approx. 2 trips per year within Germany)

  • Work closely with project managers and developers on solutions

  • Support colleagues through knowledge sharing and team-based problem solving

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Strong Linux experience (shell workflows)

  • Scripting skills (JavaScript, ShellScript)

  • Solid SQL and relational database knowledge

  • Experience with Git / version control

  • C1 German for customer communication

  • Analytical, structured and detail-oriented working style

  • A collaborative, supportive mindset

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in data/document migration

  • Familiarity with archive/DMS systems

  • Additional programming or scripting languages
